Here's a few shots from the trails I've found close to home. These are the ones I run or ride to from my front door.
As Mr. Wakefield advised recently, I'm just trying to "soak it in" right now. Once the baby comes, I'm not sure how active I'll be able to be at first, but for now, I'm trying to enjoy it as much as I can. It'll be nice when some friends come visit so I can share this with them!

Sweet Pics brother. It looks just like where we lived in New Mexico around there. Except we had just a little more sand. Still very similar. Those Prickly Pear cactus are going to be gorgeous when they bloom in the spring. That was my favorite time in New Mexico when the desert came alive at the end of April. When I get my first four day weekend this coming spring I'll have to take you up on your offer. We'll hit those trails on foot buddy. Be ready. Talk to you later.
Schweet!
There was one sign I didn't understand, though. It looked like a warning to deer to watch out for snakes.
The deer here are really smart. They know how to avoid ticks and the signs help them know where the snakes hide. They do have trouble with the big words, but otherwise, they're highly intelligent!
That sounds like a not so subtle hint. Jackson's fall ball league lasts until Oct.6. Then Heartland is the 13th. Hopefully We'll be able to come out after that. If it gets too late I might just wait for the snow to fly!
