feeling the need

Last weekend (12-13th) I got in back to back runs on Sat and Sun. This past weekend, I got back to back couch sits with the littlest lady. Today, (Monday) I went for a frigid 5 miler in the light snow/freezing fog. Was a little under dressed for it, but I made it ok. The route I took was 2.5 miles uphill and back down for another 2.5. I was surprised when I got back in 43 mins. Although it's a very gradual climb, (500 feet total) I felt very slow on the way out and only moderately consistent on the way back. Still, I felt good and cold, but energized and glad that I made the effort. My Continental Divides did great in the snow despite the lack of additional traction. Hoping to start picking up the mileage again soon. I really miss running with the Trail Nerds! They are great company, motivation, and a good source of accountability when you need it.

I went for my first run in over a year last night and I feel accordingly. Felt good, never cramped or stiched up, but my legs fell off after about 20 minutes and the remaining 20 minutes was just complete agony and I probably looked like it to. My gracefull stride like a prancing deer turned into something that I couldn't explain, but it was just wrong !

I got in a 4 hour run at Wyco on Monday. Felt Ok. Hopefully I'll do well at Psycho. I've been having a bit of a motivation issue too. Keep it up, you always feel better after a run right?

Amen brother! Indeed I do feel better after a run. Good luck with Psycho and don't underestimate the importance of rest days. good for the body and the mind!
